Day 29 - sunset.... beaches... OMG- I LOVE YOU!

Day 29: a date you’d love for someone to take you on

I'm an adventurous girl.  My perfect date could be any number of things....

*crap*  I was thinking vacation.  I was totally about to ramble off a bunch of things- full European tour, African Safari, time in the Outback, etc.

A date?....

Hmmmm.....

It really depends on the guy.  If the guy sets a date just for me and is the opposite in their personality, it isn't as much fun.  You get that, "aw, but he tried so hard" kinda thing.

With myself as my own potential partner, I would look for something cultural or adventurous.  I mean, taking an airplane tour of Dallas was pretty cool- especially since it included a 3 course meal.  Would've been better if wasn't so sick and thinking I was going to die some cruel way.

a:
Getting up early in the morning, having a light breakfast, and hitting a trail somewhere.  Don't give me details, just plan a little something.  Make it fun- I can tire easily if we're really hauling.  Sing to me- stupid little camp songs or something from a fun musical.  Pack me a little kid lunch.  Nostaglic fruit snacks, pudding cup, juicebox, PB&J sandwich are sufficient.  Toward the end of the trek (of a few hours), take me to a beautiful scene showing the area we just hiked or something off in the distance.  Set up a campfire.  We don't need to stay the night or anything, but I'm hungry!  Make jiffy pop by campfire- trying not to burn the outside or the popcorn.  Pull out a guitar and sing a song to me and I might join you.  We can fish and eat our catchings for dinner.

b:
Have me spend a totally hectic day at work.  Send me a text about looking forward to spending the evening with me and make me smile.  Cause me to worry when you tell me I need to dress up for tonight- since I didn't bring anything with me to work (alternative is to bring a dress and shoes with you when you pick me up at work [surprise]).  When you pick me up, wear scuzzy jeans and a t-shirt.  Pull a corsage out of nowhere and tell me how beautiful I look.  At a nice restaurant, disappear to the bathroom and return in a dashing tux.  Cause the room to turn and look at you- you're amazing.  Have a fabulous dinner, with non-alcoholic wine brought and chilled especially for us.  Order something amazing that is flamed table-side.  Impress me.  Open my car door and take me to the theatre.  It could be just about anything, I like them all: ballet, opera, musical, play, concert, stand-up- doesn't really matter.  I don't even care if I'm horrendously overdressed.  Afterward, take me to a quiet place.  An overlook to the city, a place to star gaze, a little campfire somewhere.  Hold me.  Dance with me.  Surprise me and take me to Steak n Shake (super late at this time) for a milkshake in all our formal glory.  Laugh.  It's been a good time.

  c:
Wake me up in the morning, doesn't necessarily have to be first thing.  I might not be very pleasant, but I'll suck it up because it's you.  Give me 30 minutes to scramble to get ready.  Stick me in the car, but don't tell me what's up.  Arrange for dog care without me knowing.  Hand me some fruit and a sandwich.  You're dressed for outside.  Take me to an amusement park.  Already have arranged tickets for all the special events.  Let me drag you from coaster to coaster in near panic fury.  Keep me hydrated.  Make me do something daring.  Have a supply of meclizine on hand with some caffeinated beverage.  Win me a stuffed animal.  Get something personalized for me while you were 'at the bathroom' which you give me when we're exiting.  Kiss me on my forehead.  Let me fall asleep on your arm on the ride home.

d:
Ask me to help you do something.  Complete a small, charitable project (time at a habitat for humanity house, bishop's storehouse shift, soup kitchen).  At break, hand me a brownie and thank me.  I shrug it off, though I'll admit to myself I wouldn't have done it without you.  Help me complete the tasks.  After, since we're not dressed very nicely anyway, take me to a cave.  Hand me a headlamp and pads.  Lead me through the dark.  Have a snack without light but close enough that I can feel you near me.  Jump in the freezing lake and get covered in mud.  Give me a hug and make me that much muddier.
