TWEETHEART!!!!
What?!?!?!
I dove you!
*kisskiss* my Starlight.
This is probably what I should've put the first time I wrote this, only because there was so much more to it...
Suuuu.... yeah, this isn't much of a quote. I know. So, why on earth is it my favorite??
It represents something to me. The more I grow up, the more I realize that it's something I'll never have/experience again. Kind of a sad thought, but true. It represents innocence.
This was from a time in my life where I could love so freely and completely. It didn't take any effort, it was so easy. I'll always miss how playful it was. The spontaneity. It all happened so fast. I gave away my entire heart and soul. Nothing, not even death or even my eternity would I not sacrifice for him nor did I require any reciprocation of it. But, he did (at the beginning at least). He freely gave of himself the exact same I gave of him. I miss the almost child-like quality we had to it.
Want to go downtown?
~why?
Just because.
~Alright! Let's go!
Eskimo kisses, kissing his nose, wrapping his arms behind me and burying his head in my hair, tickling, his scratchy beard (not mine), playing and splashing each other in a stream, walking on a bike path all night without even realizing it, falling asleep in a chair, the millions of dreams we were about to share, a dinner of hot chocolate and crackers, long car rides, never-ending babbling about things I just couldn't understand and watch him successfully explain it to me, bungee jumping- just being random...
Sadly, it wasn't meant to be- as badly as I wanted it. I've come to learn that I need to trust God's judgment moreso than my own. Toward the end, it wasn't remotely healthy. We grew apart entirely and just stopped progressing. Life got in the way. Responsibilities. Work. Rent.
It was amazing while I had it, but it pains me to realize that I'll never experience that child-like love quite like that again.
I've caught myself doing some of the same things with guys I've dated. It's heartwarming and wrenching at the same time, but, it is part of something that means so much to me- I can't help but share even the smallest part of it.
If anyone could feel even a piece of the amazing-ness I felt in the euphoric part of that relationship- that's all I could ever wish for them. Everyone should get to love like that and more importantly, feel loved like that.
and now the quote I need to get over myself - "Forget yourself and get to work!"
