day 51: describe your future wedding
Plain and simple- whatever my husband wants it to be.
I guess that's an unfair statement since it's supposed to be about mine, but its the truth. I've worked by hard on my own weddings, and they mostly lacked that sparkle. The wedding is about me and him, no one else. Whatever would make him happiest whether it is a huge family wedding, a destination wedding somewhere, a beach wedding, standing in front of a courthouse judge- if it's right, with the right man, then it will be perfect.
Since I should describe something...
I'd love an early morning wedding. Something very small and intimate, like on a beach or on a mountain lake close to sunrise. I wouldn't necessarily need music, just gather everyone and have the bishop say a few words. Plus, I don't think I'd wear a full length gown. A lacey streamline teacup gown that was longer in the back (wouldn't want to get it wet). I'd also want a halo of flowers rather than a tiara, maybe a veil piece on the back. I would honestly look like a little kid playing dress up, but I'm totally ok with that. More than likely, it'd be a little cold so a quick wedding would be fine. After, we could all go out to eat at like ihop or something, before we all separated. Plus, since it would be 'destination' of some sort, we could tour together as a family before people started leaving- spend some time together as a real family. I haven't travelled with my family since I was married- you leave home and you just sorta stop vacationing together, expect to go see each other.
In my heart, I would already belong to that person. That person would already know my feelings, the
wedding is for the family and gifts! Yeah I said it! The wedding would simply be an outward display of love. An early morning wedding would give us the time to celebrate as a family and to spend time together as a family rather than hosts with a plethora of guests to entertain.
