Wagon Wheel

I think my mind is starting to unwind from lack of sleep, hair chemicals, reflecting on my past and my lost future that I was looking forward to for so long.  How do just let go of something that was supposed to last an eternity?  I made a covenant for eternity.  Now, I'm just expected to move on.  It's still really hard- even 15 months later.
Beautiful scenery.

Tooth of Time

The entirety of the Philmont Training Center and camp

The "Steves" of the Handicraft lodge

Teaching campers to throw a hatchet to a 'cookie' target.
We all became very proficient at it.

Trust me with a lasso??

.... well you shouldn't!!

or this kid!

RUN!

It was like living in Heaven on Earth.

If I had to imagine what life would be like in Heaven- Philmont would be it.  Everyone had a duty, all expenses and everything were covered- just do your job and have fun.  It was such an amazing experience.  It was this that I think screwed up our expectations for real life.  Not everyone's life can be this simple.  When Steven and I returned to 'real' life everything was different and changed.
