Engaged!

We had talked about waiting until graduation to tell everyone about being married, getting married, whatnot.  It happened on Halloween (Oct 31, 2008).  It was beautiful.  We went to an onstage play with all the famous love songs from Broadway called "One Enchanted Evening"- from South Pacific. The play I was in during High School.  I couldn't believe he would remember something like that!

Here's the official ring!  It grew before the I dos with a diamond wrap but look at us beam!

My camera's favorite thing to do is constantly reset days.
Didn't ever slow us down though.  We visited my parents in Ohio.  They told me I was crazy.  I asked to give him a chance and they said never.  Needless to say, a little support would've been nice.  How do you tell mom you're already married when her mission is to destroy us before?
Hard to believe we did all this AND went to school full time!
This was from our first trip to Nauvoo.  When visiting my parents, they told us of one of my childhood friends getting married.  She thought maybe it was closer for us in Chicago to go to Nauvoo, Illinois.
Beautiful Nauvoo Temple

That was going to be us someday.  Married in the Temple of our Lord.
Camille always amazes me.  Jason is such a lucky man.  They have two boys now.  I love how talented Camille is.  She's a distinguished singer and she made that wedding dress herself!
Since Nauvoo is right on the Iowa border (you have to cross into Iowa first before taking the turn down into Nauvoo, IL) we were going to take a few extra days and meet his 'old time friend' Cade.  We didn't learn/know that he was only 15 at the time.  They had known each other for years- definitely weird.  I was so borderline horrified that I wouldn't stop talking about it for a few months.  He's.... 15!
But why have a bad trip?  We had fun there anyway.  We were exhausted from the 9 hour drive to Nauvoo and another 6 hour-but-got-lost-and-became-9 hour trip to the FAR side of Iowa.  We got to sleep a few hours in the basement.
I only included this because I had never seen a portable stoplight before.... or since!

Life at this point, could've stopped still for all eternity and it would've been glorious.  Never had a been so in love or comfortable with someone.
