... and it will surprise you what the Lord has done!

Since my car died, I felt like an idiot putting on every last article of clothing I owned in the hotel while I saddled up my motorcycle in 30 degree weather.  I knew that I was going to freeze regardless and I worried that no one would expect to look out for a motorcycle in such cold weather.

Throughout the day, I came across other motorcyclists riding.  There were only 7 mind you versus the countless ones before.  It was the first motorcyclist that I encountered that was so awesome.  We rode past each other.  He didn't say anything to me, but gave me a simple biker's wave.  I felt so blessed that I even had a plan in place to purchase a different car.  I had lined up my friend Bill to come with so I wouldn't be hassled and even planned to scrap the car, sell the bike, and hopefully have $5000-$9000 to use toward another car.

Even blessings come in threes.

First, I was blessed to even have transportation and not worry about being terminated from my job for not being able to complete it.

Second, I was blessed for the time I had the car- in the rain (next storm isn't for over another week!), the cold, fog, excessive heat (AC is nice.) I didn't have to rely solely on a black motorcycle in the Texas triple digit heat of summer.

Third, I got an early call about my car stating that it was an easy fix.  It was the secondary catalytic converter, after replacing the primary a few months prior.  The guys were trying to come up with a free temporary fix so I could save up to fix it.

Fourth, I was blessed enough to have money to fix it now.

Fifth, it was fixed in the matter of a few hours.

So, it didn't really come in a group of three, but needless to say, I am greatly, richly, incredibly blessed.  I don't care if you believe in a higher power or not, but I feel my Savior's love and I am thankful for the combination of things that have lead me to be so blessed and to acknowledge the blessings in my life.

I may not have won- but I did finish!
