... and it will surprise what the Lord has done!
It has been an incredible weekend! Since I'm tired, I think I'll let the pics do the majority of the talking.
Saturday was my 1st 5K like ever! I decided to do something unique, in style, crazy maybe- I did a zombie run called Dead Man's Dash. The goal was to complete the 5k, obstacles, all while being chased by zombies- yay?
So above is the front- I really wanted to tie-dye the shirt, but the whole thing turned bright pink. I wanted like an innocent look for the front and a bloody mess on the back- but I still think it turned out ok. I free-handed the zombies on the back since I couldn't find an iron-on for any zombie.
 |
| For pity's sake, I put "not an athlete" on the front and back of the shirt. |

ZOMBIES!!!
 |
| I ran the race with Binon. The zombies were REALLY ruthless. We ran in groups of 8, by the end there were 3 of us. |
 |
| After, we went to IHOP for lunch. It was ok, the potato soup was delicious. |
 |
| We went to Cabela's that was across the street to buy some fudge and came across a motorcycle rally for area officers! |
 |
| The bikes were AWESOME and similar to Shawn (ya know, distant cousins). We got to watch some cone races. |
 |
| It was big- and I somehow got some free samples of dog food- because everyone knows motorcycle rallies have dog food vendors, right? |
 |
| Sadly, Sweet Pea decided the ride home was the perfect time to DESTROY THE TRANSMISSION. SADNESS!!! I was stranded in Irving. |
 |
| But at least I got stranded in a nice area. An officer came and waited with me until the tow truck showed up about 20 minutes later. |
 |
| My hero! |
 |
Ruthless zombies.... Another girl and I from our group were thrown to the ground so our flags (lives) could be taken.
Even though my car is toast, I was stranded, and I couldn't get out of pain from pain today- I started to think about how incredibly blessed I am. (no particular order)
- I was stranded at a time when I wasn't busy and had a few hours to spare
- I had the money to pay for the tow
- I had a place to tow to without much thought
- I received a free chiropractic exam for my spinal problems- pretty cool
- I was stranded in a nice area on a nice day
- I could still complete my job because I had other transportation (motorcycle)
- My loving Heavenly Father planned for this day enough in advance that I had a motorcycle license, the ability, and the confidence to ride my bike as long and far as I needed to for work
I know that I will probably have to purchase a new car that I can't afford, but I'm confident that my Father will provide a way for me to finance it. I've have been so blessed with keeping my pets, my hotel, my job, my supportive family, etc. I have no reason to doubt or complain. It's been a wonderful month so far and it's the beginning of the Christmas season and I feel the love of my Savior. |
