Thanksgiving 2012

Since my work puts me in contact with so many lower income, I like to try and do something special for people that cannot afford a special meal.  Last year, I adopted a family.  This year, it was my plan to make some meals to deliver, but I don't have an oven (long story, ask me if you're truly curious).  So I wasn't planning to do anything really.  Maybe a dessert-y treat or something.

A few days before, Debbie told me a wonderful surprise, and she made me a 'breakfast bird'!  She made me a full 15 lb turkey, hot and delivered, by breakfast!!

Since she gave me a heads-up, I was able to make all the trimmings- kinda.

Here is my finished box- the desserts were a little unorthodox, but I heard some good things.  The desserts included: chocolate dipped pretzel rods, buckeyes, and chocolate pumpkin creme fudge.

It was a wonderful day and I delivered 17 meals to people!
