I don't know if this will post technically today or tomorrow- we'll see.
So I learned that even big boys don't always like boyish things. I was at one of my patient's house yesterday. I heard the caregiver scream and then call over the patient's 8ish nephew.
There was supposedly a big bug found while sweeping behind the dryer. The caregiver was shrieking and I got in the room after the boy and he started shrieking too. Learned he is not a fan of bugs either! He wasn't wearing shoes, but I was and I'm fearless when I'm around patients because there's usually no one else to turn to. So I zip up my man suit, put on a brave face, typically squeak and stifle screams like something very painful and do whatever it is I have to do. As I walked over I saw the tiniest little lizard I think I've ever seen:
Poor, scared little lizard. I wasn't afraid of him. There's something scary about bugs but not so much about lizards. Even though it moved and mostly looked like a bug, I picked him up on a piece of paper and moved him outside.
I only included this pic because most of my junk email is like really really weird junk mail. I totally missed the one important email in the mix- when I won my contest.... oops?
It's not like I had a baby anyway- I can't, makes it a little hard. It just would have been nice to win something anyway.
